This log cabin is for your consideration when it comes time to begin planning for your next
residential dwelling.
This traditional log home model, as designed, has
a great room [LR DR Ki] on one side and two bedrooms on the other side. The
second floor offers a master bedroom and loft that looks down on the great
room. The basic plan has a full front porch and a smaller back porch off the
kitchen-dining area.

The material package "estimate" including
basement windows and doors is ... $79,190. Add in the shipping estimate based
on zip code, sales tax and a dry-in construction estimate and the cost comes to
around $127,711.
The option to upgrade to larger 8x8 or 6x12 logs and
premium windows will increase the material package costs by approximately $19,000
to around $147,000.
The total turnkey "cost estimate" could be under $400,000
depending on your tastes. This estimate includes site prep, permits, foundation, HVAC, plumbing, appliance allotment and rough construction driveway.
This will give you some idea what your new log cabin
will cost when decision making comes around. Please note also that this cabin should
appreciate in value over time ... under normal economic conditions.
