Improve the value of your home to sell

Home to sell?

Do you have a home to sell before you can get started on your log home ... from LogHomesByJack.com, of course. If so, then give your existing home a facelift ...

But, do not spend more in renovations than you will ever get out of it. For instance, do not add a sunroom, garage or an elaborate new deck.

Five bargain renovations that add value.
• Reface kitchen cabinets
• Install a new kitchen countertop
• Update the bathroom
• Boost curb appeal with a new roof
• Add a deck [homes.yahoo.com] 11/24/12

Added note from Jack:
When putting your home on the market, consider the value in painting the walls, particularly if they are old, stained, dinged or painted in a color that only you might appreciate. A second option is to replace worn and outdated carpet. Finally, declutter [i.e., move “stuff” to storage] and then add a few well placed mirrors, pillows and candles. Give it that new "just baked cookies" aroma.
