I would love to live in a log home. It would just be scary if there was a fire. My friend use to have a log home but, it burnt down. It was really sad that it happened. http://kdloghomes.com/

The report that I received is that log homes are hard or slow to burn. Ever try to start a fire with 2-3 logs or sticks stacked atop each other. Difficult. Stick built and brick homes, in contrast, are full of potential fire material like the subfloor, carpets, 2x4s, wall material, tables, etc. Normal fire prevention strategies for all home owners will keep the possibility of home fires to a minimum. That includes fire extinguishers, rope ladders for 2nd floor exists, care around grills, stoves, ranges and fireplaces, and full house fire alarms. Safety first. ... jack
