Why? Delays and Slow Downs

Why? Delays and Slow Downs . . . The word from the log home portion of our construction industry is that suppliers are shorthanded and the cost of materials have gone up, which you probably know. In addition, suppliers have cut back on production due in part to the generous political stimulus money coupled with the higher cost of raw materials.

In our case, we are still turning out customized log home material packages but at a slower pace than normal to keep our workers employed. Some of the materials we provide cost us more while others are just harder to find at this time. 

The bottom line is that we can serve our clients but not as quickly as in the past. Perhaps workers will be encouraged to come back to work but costs are predicted to NOT drop significantly. Waiting to get your log home started in hopes that prices will return to the same pre-covid levels is not predicted to be a successful strategy.

 Order Your Sansin Stain Now! ... This is a good time to order your Sansin Enviro Stains. Why now? I have an order in the works. If you order now, I can add your order to this order and save a bit on shipping.

Water based stains like Sansin breathe. Oil based stains trap moisture and allow rot to occur.

Which Sansin stain should I order?

For new decks or newly sanded decks, consider the DEC product line. Many colors. Coverage is around 200 square foot per gallon. Apply liberally. Two coats suggested.

For log homes and fence stains. Consider Sansin SDF for this area. Breathable. 2 coats suggested. It usually provides protect for 3 to 6 years or more. The weathered and sunny side of your home speeds up the time between maintenance coats, usually one coat.

What color? If you continue to use any of the 70 color options of Sansin stains, the color will not turn dark over time. This stain has no fillers or paraffin. That is why other stains turn dark in a short period of time.

Sansin Enviro Stains . . . The are water based. That means low to no VOCs. It is Breathable = That means moisture is not trapped in the Logs as happens with oil based stains . Moisture leads to wood rot.

Details: 70 stock colors. 2 coats. Coverage is usually around 200sf per gallon. SDF, Classic & DEC for exteriors. Purity for interiors. Cement stain as well. Stripper product. Add Bug Juice to the top coat of stain. Exterior stain maintenance is 3-6 years and even longer depending on the Sun and weather.
