Normally, a $2,500 deposit is required to begin preparing your floor plan drawings. During March 2013 only, the process can begin with a $500 deposit. This is not a discount off the $2,500 deposit.

If you wish to begin construction immediately, then I suggest that you place a 50% deposit. This will put you at the top of the floor plan preparation list.

When your floor plans are OKed by you, we can have the material package on your job site in 45 days or less.

When putting your home on the market, consider the value in painting the walls, particularly if they are old, stained, dinged or painted in a color that only you might appreciate. A second option is to replace worn and outdated carpet. Finally, declutter [i.e., move “stuff” to storage] and then add a few well placed mirrors, pillows and candles. Give it that new "just baked cookies" aroma.

• Paint inside - neutral colors

• Remove clutter
• Clean up/out the basement
