Log Home Tips that we have posted on www.Twitter.com/JackHutslar Tip: Ice on the end and overhang of your roof. It can get under your shingles and cause leaks. Scrape snow off with a hoe or similar tool.
Tip: Is your log home cold? Air & water leaks in your log home? Caulk. Caulk. Caulk. But first, fill the large gaps with backer rod. Call Jack for more information.
TiP: Build your home with the front porch and garage doors facing the winter sun. This helps melt away your snow and ice.
Tip: Boost humidity in your home to 40% or higher. Helps the air in your home hold heat. Beneficial to your respiratory system too. So, humidify.
