Floor plan hint: Have not settled on a floor plan that you like. Try this. Draw circles on paper that show where you want the great room or living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway, master bedroom suit, other bedrooms, closets, other bathrooms, utility room, porches, decks. Do not get bogged down with dimensions, yet. Just move the circles around. Ditto for a second floor and an unfinished or finished basement. Take into consideration your views, porches, decks, driveway and garage. Remember, form follows function.
